Skier Bergoust Announced Retirement

Sports Illustrated's website has posted the announcement of legendary skier Eric Bergoust's retirement from the sport. Bergoust is an Olympic and world champion who has competed in and won various freestyle aerial events in his career that spanned 16 years.

The four-time Olympian is known to be a daredevil who always wants to try out new things with equipment, training and jumps. As an Olympian, he last won his gold medal at the 1999 Nagano Winter Olympics and he also won two consecutive World Championships in 2001 and 2002.
