Choosing Ski Packs and Bags

Choosing the right ski pack depends on what you are doing.

One of the virtues of snowshoeing is the ability to snowshoe up a slope you plan on skiing down.

Just pack your skis in a backpack and strap on your snowshoes.

Steps:

1. Check for straps on both sides of the pack. Most medium and large packs have two straps on each side to carry additional gear.

2. Consider weight. Trudging through snow is different than hiking through the woods.

3. Consider Space. If your spending a day riding the back country you wont need as big a pack as if you are snow camping.

4. Choose a pack that fits your size.
