Best Season to Date for Lake Louise Mountain Resort
Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, owners and operators of Lake Louise Mountain Resort, have their eyes set on their “best season to date” this winter. Matt Mosteller, Sr. Director of Business Development for the company has announced this season’s resort and experience improvements. Resorts of the Canadian Rockies has continued its ongoing investment towards resort enhancements this season with a variety of noticeable improvements. Lake Louise Mountain Resort is set to open November 6, 2005.
“Our focus for Lake Louise this season is provide our guests with the ultimate skiing/riding experience by improving our snowmaking and grooming capabilities as well as continuing to provide guests with the best overall resort experience possible,” said Mosteller when announcing this year’s list of upgrades at Lake Louise Mountain Resort – Banff National Park’s largest ski area.
New at Lake Louise Mountain Resort:
- The six-passenger Grizzly Express Gondola, which opened in February 2005, whisks skiers and riders from the base of the mountain to the top in mere minutes. The gondola gives skiers and riders faster access to the alpine than any other resort in the Rockies.
- New snowmaking upgrades will ensure perfect coverage, mountain-wide, from opening season in early November to late spring skiing in May.
- Snowmaking improvements include new environmentally friendly nozzles and pumps and the addition of new snow guns as part of the resort’s on-going commitment to water use reduction and environmental sustainability.
- Grooming upgrades. New Snow Cats have been added to the resort’s grooming fleet to continue its commitment to maintaining top-notch grooming standards.
- New express ticket kiosks will get skiers and riders doing what they love best - faster and more conveniently.
Lake Louise Mountain Resort will be host to a number of exciting public events this year. From the Men’s and Women’s World Cup Winterstart Downhill Races (held November 26 – December 4, 2005) to the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Celebrity Invitational in January – which will see Hollywood’s biggest names descend on Lake Louise.
